Each and every one of you has invested your time to make Coinpanion a success. I love you guys, and this won't be the last time we do business together. The only thing we clashed over was who overordered at the all you can eat buffet (it was 100% Alex). There seemed to be founder clashes all around us. We spent countless days and late nights together, had more inside jokes than I could handle, and always had so much fun. With all the hard facts out of the way, first and foremost I'd like to thank my favorite co-founders Matthias, Aaron Penn and Alexander V., who started this company with me in a small coworking space after university during the pandemic. I am confident that this dream team will take our vision global!įor all Coinpanion customers, this means a new era of benefits: get ready for incredibly competitive trading fees starting as low as 0.25% and a wider selection of portfolios and cryptocurrencies. My co-founders Alexander V. and Aaron Penn, will remain in place and Sean Andrew Sanders (Revix) will step in as CEO. Christopher Oster, Fredrik Debong and many more!Ĭoinpanion is joining forces with Revix and BitFund to become Altify - the ultimate alternative investment platform. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Coinpanion and for all of us.Ī big thank you to our amazing investors who put faith in a bunch of crazy nerds in a small coworking space: Frank Westermann, Patrick Pöschl, Johann 'Hansi' Hansmann, Anton Kittelberger, Kilian von Berlichingen, Michael (Miki) Poetscher, Florian Gschwandtner, Lorenz Josef Winkler, Elbruz Yılmaz, Moritz Thiele, Andreas Kupke, Johannes Braith, Bernhard Niesner, Michael Hurnaus, Wolfgang Reisinger, Michael John, Eva Ogriseg, Lucanus ⛵️ Polagnoli, Dr. To everyone who is/was a part of this journey, thank you for your hard work, dedication, and friendship. Our investment round being mentioned in the Handelsblatt, all major Austrian newspapers and in international startup news Co-founder Alexander sitting next to me and non-stop pitching investors for months, while Aaron's bell was constantly ringing in the middle of pitches The old office being so immensely cramped that we had to hold meetings in a shared kitchen and the hallway Reading the book "Blitzscaling" with my co-founders and ending up raising capital from entrepreneurs running the companies mentioned in the book just a year later He gets to the office, quick small talk, and immediately starts coding. Bringing our first employee Aditya Singh, aka the frontend ninja, to Austria. Kraken had to put together an internal team with 8 people from different time zones just to handle the KYCs Blowing up after our first big newsletter article. For days we received thousands of registrations. One weekend a client deposited half a million when we were not in the office and I thought we burned down the building. The bell would go crazy and even start smoking when we got bigger deposits. Speaking of Aaron, he installed a homemade bell in the office that would ring for every €500 of new customer deposits. Thinking we might not make the Forbes 30 under 30 list because two of my co-founders opted for coding instead of replying to Forbes' many emails - I'm looking at you Aaron and Matthias □ Sponsoring SK Sturm Graz and seeing Coinpanion on the big screen Reaching our first million in deposits and partying so hard in our crappy old office that the psychotherapist next door had to ask us to keep it down I'd like to share some of my fondest memories of this amazing time in my life: It has been an absolute pleasure to work with such an awesome group of people! I wanted to use this post to tell everyone how incredibly proud I am of what we have achieved as a team of mostly 20-somethings (and Benno □) at Coinpanion. This was a difficult but necessary decision that has allowed me to reignite my entrepreneurial spirit and creativity. After more than three incredible years dedicated to Coinpanion, I stepped down from my role as CMO a few months ago to take a much-needed break and recharge my batteries.
